Our Qualifications
Mark Freedman
B.Sc.(Hons)., S.R.Ch., M.Ch.S.
Mark Freedman qualified from The Department of Podiatry at The University of Brighton in June 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Podiatry, the standard required for State Registration in the United Kingdom. State Registration was a mandatory requirement for employment within the National Health Service and also included a licence to administer local anaesthesia. In 2005 the State Registration system was replaced by a body called the Health Professions Council, and all Podiatrists must be registered with the H.P.C. in order to practise legally in the U.K.
You can check that your professional is registered with the H.P.C. at www.hpcheck.org.
After qualifying, Mark Freedman spent two years working for the N.H.S. until July 1996 when he took over the Chingford Podiatry Centre which was originally established in 1982 in Station Road, Chingford, moving to Chingford Mount in 2000. In 2008 a Mr Freedman opened a second surgery in Cockfosters, North London.
Mark Freedman reguarly attends conferences and courses on all aspects of Podiatry and specialises in biomechanics and sports injuries, although the Chingford Podiatry Centre is also able to provide all commonly available podiatric and chiropodial treatments.
